Troubleshooting issues logging in to the Ring app
You might receive messages or errors when attempting to enter your password or complete the sign-in process in the Ring app.
Password issues
“Invalid email or password” message when entering your Ring password:
- Verify that you are entering your email and password correctly. Avoid using autofill, and type the email and password manually.

Request a new password reset link. Make sure you are only using the password reset link from the most recent Ring email.
Sign-in issues
"Cloud server unreachable” error message:
Try changing your network settings. Follow these steps:
- Go to the settings on your smartphone or tablet.
- If wifi is enabled, turn wifi off and try to login using cellular data.
- If cellular data is enabled, turn cellular data off and try to log in using wifi.
If you are unable to press the “Continue” button while signing in on an iPhone or iPad:
You might need to adjust the privacy settings on your iPhone or iPad. Try these steps:
- Go to Safari settings.
- TapAdvanced.
- EnableJavascript.
- DisableBlock all Cookies.
- If you are still unable to log in, tap the button at the bottom of the Ring app that says,“Having trouble? Sign in here.”

If you experience issues with the Ring app freezing or closing unexpectedly, or you are unable to access Ring device features, try these troubleshooting steps:
- Disable any virtual private network (VPN) apps.
- Restart your smartphone or tablet.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Ring app from your smartphone or tablet.
