Control your Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera with Alexa

To connect and control your Ring devices with a compatible Alexa-enabled device, you’ll need to turn on the Ring Alexa skill. Once the Ring Alexa skill is enabled, you’ll be able to use voice commands for your Ring devices, including doorbells and cameras, and access Live View on Alexa devices with built-in displays (Echo Show, for example).

You may have already been prompted to connect your accounts and enable the skill in the Ring app. If not, follow the instructions below to get started.

First, download the Alexa app—if you don't already have it on your smartphone, tablet or other device.

    and

  2. Open the Alexa app.
  3. Tap the
    More
    icon (

  4. In the menu that appears, tap

  5. On the next screen, search for "Ring" in the search box.
  6. After you've found Ring, tap the
    Enable to Use
    button.
  7. Proceed with the steps on screen to link your accounts.
  8. Once successfully linked, all of your Ring devices should appear and automatically connect to Alexa.
    • If you don't want Alexa connected to a particular Ring device, simply remove the device in the Alexa app.

If none of your Ring devices appear automatically, you can:

  • Check if your device is already set up.
  • Ask, "Alexa, discover my devices."
  • for further assistance.

You can check your account connection status and manage which Alexa devices have access to your Ring devices in the Amazon Account Linking section of your Control Centre.
