Getting Priority Alerts for Your Doorbells and Security Cameras in Do Not Disturb Mode

Priority Alerts lets you receive alerts from your Ring doorbell or camera when your mobile device is in Do Not Disturb mode, and override Motion Alerts settings in the Ring app.

This feature requires a Ring Home Standard or Premium subscription.

For Ring Alarm alerts, see Critical Alerts for Ring Alarm in Do Not Disturb Mode.

How to set up Priority Alerts

  1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.

  2. Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.

  3. Tap your device's Settings.

  4. Tap the Device Settings tile.

  5. Tap
    Notification Settings
    .
  6. Tap
    Priority Alerts
. You will see a prompt. Tap Allow. Priority Alerts require the Critical Alerts feature to be toggled on in your iOS settings.
    • On your iOS device under
      Settings
      >
      Notifications
      >
      Ring
      .
  7. In the Ring app, select the Doorbell Alerts and Motion Alerts you want to receive.
    • You can also tick

Important: Priority Alerts in Do Not Disturb mode or a Focus only apply to push notifications, not emails.
